Why I'm in the Venus Network

I was about one year into my self employment/contracting journey. I had some scary moments and often wondered if this was something I really wanted to do. The flexibility for our young family really suited me and the thought of being an employee again made me cringe and resist it.

Doing it on my own was proving to be difficult, so I started doing some networking and talking to other local service providers. Then I was referred to Venus, and I haven't looked back.

I have found the group to be a supportive network of like-minded people who are eager share their experiences and knowledge. It has made me feel like I am not alone and the struggles I have are ones that others face too. Being pregnant and then back working after 6 weeks, is no easy feat. Being my second time around, the typical mum's coffee group didn't appeal. Raving with the Venus ladies has been a great alternative.

There is lots to consider when running a business, and the fortnightly catch ups are often enough that I have the time to reflect and if needed take action. Like updating my venus profile for example.
